Interns are responsible for actively participating in HCSC’s formal internship program that leverages your skills, knowledge, and capabilities while providing meaningful experience supporting business objectives and member-focused solutions. Working closely with cross-functional teams in both business and technical areas, the Intern will contribute to project work, analyze information, and support the development of solutions that address organizational needs. The Intern is responsible for learning and applying specific aspects of the organization's processes, programs, and technologies while demonstrating increasing independence and ownership of assigned deliverables.This ten-week paid internship can be located in Richardson, TX
What Are Your Responsibilities?
Developer Interns are responsible for actively participating in HCSC’s formal internship program that leverages your skills, knowledge, and capabilities while providing meaningful experience supporting business objectives and member-focused solutions. Working closely with cross-functional teams in both business and technical areas, the Compliance & Health Quality Developer Intern will contribute to project work, analyze information, and support the development of solutions that address organizational needs. The Compliance & Health Quality Developer Intern is responsible for learning and applying specific aspects of the organization's processes, programs, and technologies while demonstrating increasing independence and ownership of assigned deliverables.
This role will also need to:
- Own components of project work and deliverables with guidance from an assigned mentor and manager.
- Conduct research, analyze data and information, and develop recommendations that inform real business decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Support departmental initiatives that improve business outcomes and the member and client experience.
- Develop and deliver a final internship presentation to department leadership covering the project, results, and recommendations.
- Maintain complete confidentiality of company business and comply with HIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity, and applicable compliance policies.

- Experience in Java, JavaScript, SQL, HTML, MVC, CSS, Angular, React, Spring Boot, GitHub and/or Data Analytics. Exposure to Hadoop. Pig, Talend, Copilot or similar tools.
What Are the Requirements You Must Meet?
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree; rising senior with a major in computer science, information technology, or information systems. Other majors may be considered.
- Graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0.
- Available for the full duration of the 10-week program.
- Demonstrated intellectual curiosity, strong communication skills, and a collaborative, learning-oriented mindset.
- Working proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and general comfort with virtual collaboration tools.
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available for this role.
