This highly visible position is responsible for directing market strategy, planning, and execution and has a significant impact on setting and advancing market goals.Job Responsibilities:
Direct the market strategy area in order to support the markets in strategy development and delivery. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Strategy Development – work with line of business / plan and functional leadership to develop multi-year market strategy across lines of business (e.g., Group, Individual, Medicare, and Medicaid) and support strategy development for key priority areas.
Strategy Delivery – work with line of business / plan and functional leadership to support execution against multi-year market strategy and key priority areas.
Executive Leadership Discussions – lead creation of content for executive leadership discussions to support decisioning on and progress against market strategy.
Board Support – support creation of content for quarterly HCSC Board of Directors meetings to highlight market strategy, progress, and where support is needed.
Represent the VP on cross-divisional and corporate committees.
Responsible for building, leading, and developing the market strategy team, teaching them how to do work efficiently and effectively and aligned with our corporate values.
Maintain and grow a set of cross-functional relationships, particularly at the senior and executive leadership levels, to achieve goals and outcomes.
Required Job Qualifications:
Bachelor degree / Master’s Degree / MBA and 15 years of general industry experience or 7 years consulting experience at a top tier consulting firm.
3 years of management experience.
Strategy Development/Planning/Implementation: Robust knowledge of strategy core skill sets; robust experience formulating, planning, and implementing strategy.
Analysis/Synthesis/Insight Generation: Robust ability to lead quantitative and qualitative analysis, provide insights and implications, inform decision making, and make recommendations/prioritize new opportunities to pursue.
Critical Thinking/Problem Solving: Robust ability to identify and resolve complex problems with minimal oversight.
Project Management: Robust experience managing complex projects with minimal oversight.
Collaboration and Interpersonal Effectiveness: Robust ability to build strong connections with people and teams, drive results by working across the matrixed environment, and work directly with senior leadership.
Communication Skills: Robust ability to communicate effectively with all levels, including senior executives; advanced verbal, written and visual communications skills.
Team Leadership and Development: Robust experience leading and proactively developing team members.
Ability to work within a very fast-paced, quickly evolving organization and manage multiple, complex priorities.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
Advanced degree such as MBA, MHA, MD, JD, or PhD.
Experience in the healthcare industry, especially the health insurance sector.
Compensation: $187,700.00 - $348,600.00
