BASIC FUNCTION HCSC is looking for an individual to join its Medicaid Pharmacy Operations team! This position is responsible for providing assistance to pharmacists and pharmacy coordinators in the resolution of pharmacy-related issues to include claims, pricing, and coding. Will also work closely with internal departments and external vendors to evaluate and resolve issues; supports processes to ensure federal and state regulations and program requirements are met and maintained; and communicate pharmacy related written and telephone inquiries with members, providers, pharmacies, and groups regarding benefits. NOTE: sponsorship is NOT available for this role either now or in the future! Core operational hours are from 8:00am to 5:00pm!

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Pharmacy or a related healthcare field OR four years’ direct work experience in healthcare/insurance industry (or equivalent).
• Must have a current, state specific Licensed/Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Managed care customer service experience to help members navigate the complexities of their health benefits.
• Demonstrated proficiency of word processing spreadsheets and pharmacy database management software.
• Strong drug information skills to access, evaluate, and communicate reliable drug information to both patients and healthcare professionals.
• Capacity to handle multiple tasks with strong organizational skills.
• Highly collaborative with ability to influence others and build strong professional relationships across all departmental levels of associates and leadership.

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Call center and pharmacy retail experience.
• Experience involving process improvement.

Compensation: $37,400.00 - $78,400.00
