This position is responsible for payroll disbursements of voluntary payroll deductions for various contributions including running the supporting Workday reports, preparing the check requests, obtaining approval, tracking the disbursements, and reconciliation of the accounts. This position is also responsible for various payroll reporting requirements for disbursements, bank reconciliations, unclaimed property, month-end reporting, and various audits.

Job Description:

  • Prepares Workday reports for charitable contributions, PAC contributions, and union Dues to support check requests to disburse those funds and submit those reports to the various groups that receive those disbursements.
  • Track those disbursements and reconcile the accounts quarterly to ensure disbursements are accurate and timely.
  • Prepare month-end reporting to aid in monthly bank reconciliation
  • Provide support to bank reconciliation
  • Provide support to Unclaimed Property including research of stale dated payroll checks
  • Research and respond to issues regarding bank statements and disbursements
  • Maintain documentation of processes and procedures.
  • Respond to AskHR cases as assigned in the queue
  • Supports audits by collecting requested information for management approval.
  • Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with co-workers, management, employees, etc.
  • Complies with HIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity, Compliance Program policies and other applicable corporate and departmental policies.
  • Maintains complete confidentiality of all payroll information.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • College degree in business with accounting coursework and 1 year of accounting experience or 5 years accounting experience.
  • MS Office including Word and Excel.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Clear, concise communication with good grammar, appropriate word choice.

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience with Workday or payroll.
  • Experience with accounting applications.
