This position is responsible for providing operational services, assistance, program implementation, and coordination for one or more day-to-day Medicaid operation functions, with a focus on regulatory reporting and state compliance activities. The individual will coordinate recurring state-mandated reports, manage regulatory inquiries and operational escalations, and partner with stakeholders across Medicaid claims, care coordination, encounters, customer service, and other business areas to gather, validate, and deliver information required by the State of Illinois. This resource is responsible for resolving complex and escalated operational questions and works with other areas of the organization on the development, testing, and implementation of program policies, business processes, and system changes to ensure state requirements and contractual obligations are met. Success in this role requires strong relationship management, attention to detail, project coordination, and the ability to balance multiple reporting deadlines and ad hoc requests in a highly regulated Medicaid environment.

Required Job Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor Degree and 1 year experience OR 5 years’ experience in business analysis, process improvement, strategic planning, research, project management, product administration, product operations or relevant health care industry experience

  • Project management skills, including strong organization, prioritization and problem-solving skills; strong oral, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; ability to accept direction and feedback

  • Experience interacting with personnel of multiple departments and at various levels in the organization. 

  • Analytical and information synthesis skills

  • Verbal and written communication and organization skills 

  • Experience with changing assignments and priorities

  • PC proficiency to include MS Office products

Preferred Required Job Qualifications:

  • Health insurance or healthcare industry experience

  • Location: This position is based at the HCSC Headquarters Office in Chicago, IL

  • Schedule: This is a Flex (Hybrid) role: 3 days in office; 2 days remote.

  • Sponsorship: Sponsorship is not available.

  • Knowledge of regulatory reporting, compliance activities, or state contract requirements.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage regulatory inquiries, escalations, and ad hoc requests.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience coordinating across multiple operational teams.

  • Advanced Excel skills required; Tableau experience preferred.

  • Experience establishing and managing internal timelines to meet critical regulatory deadlines.

  • Ability to navigate complex organizations and build effective cross-functional partnerships.

Compensation: $41,700.00 - $92,800.00
