This 10-week paid internship is located in Chicago, ILWhat Are Your Responsibilities?
This position is responsible for actively participating in an internship program that leverages your skills, knowledge and capabilities on the Operations Enablement team while exposing you to different methodologies and tools. The Operations Enablement Intern will partner with business areas and suppliers to ensure business expectations and contractual obligations are met through metrics and KPI maintenance. Responsibilities will also include learning specific aspects of the processes, programs, and technologies. Additional project support, administrative tasks, and ad hoc requests to support business needs.
This role will also need to:
- Comply with HIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity, Compliance Program policies and other applicable corporate and departmental policies.
- Maintain complete confidentiality of company business.
- Maintain communication with management regarding development within areas of assigned responsibilities and perform special projects as required or requested.
- Create a final internship PowerPoint presentation to share with department leadership covering the internship experience, the assigned project over the course of the summer, including the results along with any solutions or recommendations that can be leveraged by the department in the future.
What Do You Need To Be Successful?
- Experience managing customer relationships, suppliers and/or contracts is a strong plus
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills is a strong plus
- Knowledge of Government Programs (Medicaid/Medicare) is a plus
- Knowledge of Regulatory requirements is a plus
- Prior experience working with cross-functional teams is a plus (IT, Finance, Procurement, etc.)
- Prior Intern or related work experience is a plus
- Involvement in student associations/organizations or participation in relevant campus competitions is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills including clear and concise verbal and written communication is a plus
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritize and support multiple projects
- Ability to manage relationships and communicate effectively and professionally with co-workers, leaders, customers, etc.
- Eagerness to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills, and judgment to accomplish a result or to serve customers’ needs effectively
- Results-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset and an ability to grasp new and unfamiliar concepts
- Practical, developed PC skills, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, MS Teams, SharePoint and Outlook
What Are the Requirements You Must Meet?
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, information security, information technology, or health care management. Other related degrees will also be considered.
- Graduation date between December 2026 – June 2027
- A minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0
- Availability to work ten weeks during the summer (June – August)
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. (Currently, we are not offering this program to students on a visa)
