BASIC FUNCTION HCSC is looking for a dynamic individual to join its Payroll team! Under supervision, this position is responsible for processing a broad range of payroll item set-up and adjustment requiring Workday processing, including: payroll adjustments, retroactive pay adjustments, terminations, and retroactive medical, life, and dental adjustments. Incumbent will also be processing reductions-in-force (RIFs) through calculation and tracking of final payments as well as setting up full and partial leaves; and processing garnishment requests. Needs to maintain complete confidentiality of company business as well as engage in communication with management regarding development within areas of assigned responsibilities to perform special projects as required or requested. This role is located in the Richardson TX office and is hybrid/flex, requiring three days in the office per week and working from home the other two days. NOTE: sponsorship is NOT available, relocation assistance will NOT be extended ~

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3 years’ prior experience in payroll processing.
  • Must be service oriented and have a desire to assist the customer.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with a broad range of employees across the organization via email, telephone and in person.
  • Working MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) ability as well as Workday PeopleSoft HCM.
  • Able to perform complex and multi-step calculations.
  • Knowledge of bank rules concerning voiding, reissuing, and stop payment checks.
  • Knowledge of federal and state withholding laws; federal and state garnishment laws; FLSA regulations.
  • Expert knowledge of HCSC benefits and employee policies and how these policies relate to FLSA regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills.


PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • College courses in business administration.
  • Certified Payroll Professional designation (CPP).
  • Workday experience a huge plus.
