This position is responsible for the operations of the credit union including establishing user access to financial systems and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and regulatory agencies.Job Description:
- Reviews laws and regulations to ensure the credit union’s compliance requirements.
- Assists in the revision of forms, products, website, programs and promotions to ensure compliance with state and federal rules and regulations.
- Assists in the development and revision of compliance training programs.
- Assists regulatory and federal examiners with their examinations. Provides information and answers questions upon their request. Assists with changes identified as non-compliant and within compliance deadline.
- Serves as system administrator for multiple credit union software systems. Works with corporate IT Security to establish and/or make changes to third party credit union systems connectivity. Works with 3rd party vendors on vendor system issues, software updates, and communicates to staff vendor changes. Establishes user names, passwords, and security access for users in credit union systems. Makes changes and modifications to user access as needed.
- Responsible for processing and balancing daily settlement files including ACH, share draft, debit card and ATM.
- Serves as a back-up to the Accountant. Responsible for reconciliation of corporate bank accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivables including preparing general ledger posting.
Required Job Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree in Finance or Accounting or 2 years’ work experience
- PC proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of basic accounting
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Analytical skills capable of preparing and analyzing reports for management.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
- Prior Credit Union experience
