This position is responsible for providing business leadership to ensure alignment and integration of the Individual & Family Markets to support strategies and to ensure consistency and efficiency. Accountable for coordinating and delivering annual changes to product offerings and regulatory filings. Manages prioritization of the line of business and tracks progress to goals and reports upon progress to senior leadership. Assist in providing input on business cases, managing prioritization process and developing project updates.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Manage team responsible for ideation to execution development and assist leadership as needed with goal and priority      development. Also, conduct ideation around line of business markets and evaluate new ideas and concepts against line of business goals, objectives and operational capabilities. 
2.    Assist and providing input on business cases, managing prioritization process and developing project updates.
3.    Lead initial project brainstorming / orientation sessions geared toward identifying and framing issues and generating hypotheses around how to organize and prioritize the work. 
4.    Translate strategy into executable plans and oversee successful implementation.
5.    Develop clear and compelling deliverables that present work approach and results to multiple internal / external audiences, in presentations, reports, dashboards, intranet site content, etc.
6.    Collaborate with government relations areas to determine and develop corporate positions on the line of business-related topics as appropriate.
7.    Develop success measures around implementation and infrastructure efforts and ensure reporting and tracking. 
8.    Coordinate design, development and implementation efforts of new ideas and concepts that cross multiple functional areas.
9.    Manage team to track programs and initiatives across the line of business to ensure proper handoffs and coordination happen between functional areas.
10.    Support the line of business needs for internal and external customers, including brokers, client / consultant meetings, internal training and report out sessions, and future roadmap.
11.    Support Plan President with required internal and external communications, Determines presentation needs for executives while advising and counseling on techniques and strategies.
12.    Keep abreast of best practices and strategic trends in health-care products and industry in general.
13.    Interact one-on-one and in group settings with departmental/inter-departmental team members to identify issues, gather data, brainstorm, prioritize, discuss analytic approach, and share findings.
14.    Develops, measures and reports the metrics and financial requirements for reporting and budget management needs.
15.    Manage multiple priorities across projects and work with staff to complete tasks on time. 
16.    Lead the development clear and compelling project deliverables that present work approach and results to multiple internal / external audiences, in presentations, reports, dashboards, intranet site content, etc. 
17.    Maintain communication with management regarding development within areas of assigned responsibilities and perform special projects as required or requested.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s AND 10 years of experience in health care, health insurance, or consulting environment
  • 5 years’ experience in a management/leadership capacity
  • Experience with strategic planning, strategy development, project management and/or analytics and research
  • Experience within the health care insurance industry
  • Management experience leading and mentoring staff
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with interacting successfully with senior management and staff across multiple departments
  • Organizational skills, including ability to prioritize tasks
  • Creativity and innovation, analysis and implementation skills and experience
  • Advanced level of business acumen and project/process integration skills
  • Strong facilitation skills
  • Overseeing the annual budget and allocating resources for various projects and operational needs.
  • Translating needs and initiatives into compelling business cases.
  • Conducting cost-benefit analyses to justify investments and ensure ROI.

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • MBA, MHA, MPH
  • Experience with document and / or contract management
  • Government Programs, Regulatory or Affordable Care Act experience
  • Experience with implementation
  • 10+ years of Health care industry experience
  • Lead SME role in large programs
  • Business case development experience
