This position is responsible for Forecasting, Planning, and analyzing financial performance of Blue Cross Blue Shield Government line of business. Responsibilities may include preparing monthly, quarterly, annual financial forecast and reporting, updating financial models and participating in RFP’s. The role is expected to provide accurate expense projections of internal staffing, contractors, 3rd party vendor services, and other general administrative expenses. In addition, analyst will provide finance support to Government business leaders and other cross functional corporate teams.

  • Knowledge of building financial models and creating KPI Dashboards; including ROI models for business case development and forecasting
  • Manage internal business partners ad-hoc projects and collaborate in a heavily matrix environment
  • Able to present monthly financials at all leadership levels
  • Provide clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to solve problems independently, detailed oriented and can summarize large amount of data into key points
  • Advance in Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft products

Required Job Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Business, Economics or Finance and 3 years business experience in corporate financial reporting and budgeting or IT operational functions in IT Financials OR 6 business experience in corporate financial reporting and budgeting or IT operational functions in IT Financials.
  • Knowledge of business/financial OR IT/financial models including cost-benefit models for business case development and forecasting.
  • Customer service skills including managing customers’ expectations and/or vendor relationships.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Presentation, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • PC proficiency to include Word, Excel, MS Access, PowerPoint and Lotus Notes.
  • Detail orientated.

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Working knowledge of Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Hyperion (Essbase/PBCS), PeopleSoft, and other Oracle financial tools
